Escape on the Murray River aboard your own self-drive houseboat. All you need is a full driver’s licence—no boat licence required.
Located in the heart of North Tropical Victoria, Mildura is the houseboating hub of Australia, home to the widest stretch of the Murray River with over 100km of waterway to explore. Along the way, you’ll find riverside pubs, wineries, and mooring-friendly venues—plus heaps of secluded bushland if you’re after a quiet escape.
There’s also a range of small towns to stop off at, with spots to moor your houseboat, grab supplies, enjoy a meal, or explore local attractions.
Book online or send us an email. An $800 deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due two months before check-in. Minimum hire is 3 nights, with longer stays available if you want more time on the river. Around 21 days before your trip, we’ll send you an information pack covering what to bring, check-in and everything else worth knowing. Tinnies and stand-up paddleboards can also be added to your trip, and you simply pay for the fuel you use when you return.
There’s more than 100km of navigable river from Mildura, so there’s plenty of room to make the trip your own. Stop at a riverside pub, visit a winery, play golf, swim, fish, ski or find a quiet riverbank and stay there for the afternoon. We have flexible itineraries if you want some direction, but there’s no need to follow them word for word.
Looking for extra fun? Hire small crafts like kayaks and dinghies to explore hidden gems along the river. Special discounts are available for houseboat guests.
We also offer pet-friendly houseboats, so you can bring your furry friends along for the adventure. Plus, we provide large parking for caravans and motorhomes, making your entire stay more convenient and hassle-free.
Mildura is home. Our team is based here, many of the boats in our fleet are owned by local investor groups, and we use local trades, suppliers and businesses wherever we can.
We also support local clubs, community groups and events, because we want houseboat tourism to benefit the region, not just us.
We like our recognition the same way we like our business: local.
We have secure parking for cars, trailers and caravans, and our support phones are available 24/7 while you’re away. If you’re unsure where to go, how something works or just need a hand, call us. You’re on holiday. You shouldn’t need to spend it working things out.
