3 Day Itinerary Upstream from the moorings (approx -888 river kms)

Day 1
First night – Gol Gol Pub (approx-893kms) 45 minutes easy cruise upstream. Camp the night at their grassed moorings, walk up and enjoy a fantastic meal in the restaurant or enjoy Alfresco dining. Ph 50 248492.
Or- Mildura Restaurants. A quick and easy 20 minutes down to Mildura river front. Stroll up to the Mildura restaurant precinct or book in to Stephanos at the Grand Hotel and enjoy an easy night for everyone. Ph 50 230511.
Day 2
Trentham Estate Winery (approx-901kms). A leisurely 1.5-2.5 hr cruise up to Trentham Estate Winery; have a restaurant meal or enjoy a BBQ lunch cooked by you to your liking. Bookings are advisable at popular times and through the peak season. Take an hour or an afternoon to enjoy and savour the Trentham experience including free wine tastings. Ph 50248888.
Second night - Cruise up to Red Cliffs (approx 910kms). See the spectacular cliff formations and get an insight in to how Redcliffs was named.
Day 3
Call in at Psyche Pumps (approx 904kms). Psyche Pumps is a Popular Tourist Attraction that incorporates the old steam driven water pumps (classified by the National Trust as the oldest pump configuration of its type in the world) and the current water pumps for our region. The tentative opening times are Tuesday and Thursday opening 1-4pm and Sundays 11am-1pm. Also enjoy the walking tracks that allow access through to the Kings Billabong Wildlife Reserve, home to a fantastic variety of birdlife and majestic River Red Gums.
Third night - return to the Gol Gol Pub, Riverside Golf Club (approx 892kms) area for the night. The golf course features 18 grass greens and watered fairways set amongst native red gum and box trees. The licensed club house provides snacks through out the day. The pro shop ph-50234255 and the clubhouse ph -50231560. Hire equipment is available.
Alternatively come back to the moorings for the night for a 9am departure the next day.

Day 1
We recommend that if you are first time houseboat hirers that you do not go through the Lock on the first day. By going upstream first you will gain further experience driving and mooring.
First night – Gol Gol Pub (approx-893kms) 45 minutes easy cruise upstream. Camp the night at their grassed moorings, walk up and enjoy a fantastic meal in the restaurant or enjoy alfresco dining. Ph 50 248492.
Day 2
Lock Eleven (approx 885kms) Cruise back down stream for a morning lock (allow 1.5Hrs so you aren’t pushed for time). The Lock needs to be booked and full details including instructions are available in the on board manuals. The Lock master advises you of the process which takes between 20-30 mins. Pull in for lunch above the sandbar at 878kms or have lunch at River road pottery (approx 874kms). Pottery, furniture and giftware all available (ladies take your credit cards and leave the guys fishing). Mildara Winery (approx 870kms) has free wine tastings.
Second night Your choice for over night stay.
Day 3
Return back upstream, enjoy fishing, bushwalking or just relaxing along the way. It is advisable to return above the Lock on the third day so the departure morning is less of a rush.
Third night- Mildura River front.. Walk up to the Mildura restaurant precinct or book in to Stephanos at the Grand Hotel and enjoy an easy night for everyone. Ph 50230511.

Day 2
Get up early for a game of golf at Riverside Golf Club (approx 892 Kms)
The golf course features 18 grass greens and watered fairways set amongst native red gum and box trees. The licensed club house provides snacks through out the day. The pro shop ph-50234255 and the clubhouse ph -50231560. Hire equipment is available. Length of the course: Men 5832m, Par Men 72 (ACR 69), Ladies 73, Practice Fairway available.
Second night – Cruise up to the Psyche Bend area, park upstream of the pumps (approx 904kms). Arrive in time to enjoy the pumps. DAY 3
Cruise up to the Karadoc Sandbar area (approx 924kms); spend the day fishing, reading, or doing your favourite water sport. For the more energetic, walk to Lindemans Winery (approx 2kms) for free cellar door tastings. A café for light lunches and coffee is available. Bread, milk, papers and ice (ice available/summertime only) are available at the café. An incentive to buy wine is the free ride back to your boat. Phone 50513333. Open 7 days, 10am- 4pm. Closed Xmas day, Boxing Day, N/Y day and Good Friday. The Winery is signposted and the walk is 1.5kms down the track to Edey road, left into Johns road and then into Lindemans Drive.
Third night – Your choice of camp site just remember don’t pull in to the sandbar and don’t park in the reeds.
DAY 4
Cruise back to Trentham Estate Winery for a late lunch, have a restaurant meal or enjoy a BBQ lunch cooked by you to your liking. Bookings are advisable at popular times and through peak seasons. Take an hour or an afternoon to enjoy and savour the Trentham experience including free wine tastings. Ph 50248888.
Fourth night – Stay opposite Trentham Estate, remember the .05 rule if you are driving the boat.
DAY 5
Have another game of golf or spend the day enjoying your favourite water sport. Cruise back to Mildura River front. Walk up to the Mildura restaurant precinct or book in to Stephanos at the Grand Hotel and enjoy an easy night for everyone. Ph 50 230511.

DAY 3
Cruise down to the historic Abbotsford bridge. The bridge is an opening span bridge. You can go through the middle section without it being lifted provided there is no scaffolding under the spans. Cruise back up upstream. Call in at Coomealla Golf Club for a quick game. Coomealla Golf Club extends a friendly welcome to all golfing tourists to enjoy the challenge of its championship course at Dareton (approx 856 Kms).Phone:Club House 5027 4517, Pro Shop:5027 4658
Length of course: Men 6250m, Par Men 72 (ACR 73), Ladies 73. On course facilities: A modern fully licensed club house. Offers bar and dining facilities and gaming machines.
Third night stay- between 870-872 river kms.
DAY 4
Spend the day enjoying your favourite water sport, a good book, fishing or walk up to The Australian Inland Botanical gardens. The Australian inland botanical Gardens is a garden of International standards and includes a fully developed rose garden containing 1700 rose plants and the historic Garnpang homestead is open on weekends from 10am-4.30pm with Souvenirs and tea, coffee and cool drinks for sale. The gardens are signposted between 878-880kms.
Fourth night- your choice.
DAY 5
Return back upstream above the lock. Visit Historic Rio vista House and Mildura Arts Centre or grab your car and visit Woodsies Gem shop. For the more energetic have a game of golf at Riverside Golf Club or spend the day enjoying your favourite water sport.
